Jio Giving Users Free 3.5GB Data per Day Expires on 02 November, 2018

Jio Giving Users Free 3.5GB Data per Day

Hello Friends Jio the newest operator in the Indian telecom scene, has released a new
add-on pack for its prepaid subscribers that gives 2GB of additional daily 4G data over
and above the existing pack that the user has subscribed to. Visible in the MyJio app
automatically, this add-on pack is currently rolling out for select subscribers, eligibility for
which is currently unknown. Also, the Jio digital pack does not come with any additional
calling or SMS benefits, which will remain same as the one offered in the existing base pack.
A company representative confirmed to Gadgets 360 that add-on is  Expires on 02 November
, 2018

With the Digital Pack active, if a Jio user is availing the Rs. 399 prepaid pack which offers
1.5GB 4G data per day, for 84 days, then the they will get a total of 3.5GB 4G data per day.
However, considering the validity of the pack is only up to July 31, it is rendered mostly
unusable. Comments on a report by Telecom Talk however say that the pack will expire on
August 2 for some users, not July 31.
Earlier this month, Reliance Jio rolled out its Jio Phone Monsoon Hungama offer as part of
which users can exchange their existing features phones and purchase the Jio Phone at a
price of just Rs. 501, which is also a full refundable security deposit. However, six months
worth recharge of the custom Rs. 99 prepaid pack is required to avail this deal. The exchange
offer, thus, mandates a payment of Rs. 1,095 (Rs. 501 + Rs. 594) to be able to purchase the
Jio Phone.
To recall, the new Rs. 99 Jio Phone recharge comes with 0.5GB 4G data per day, unlimited
voice calls, and 300 SMS messages, with a validity of 28 days.
The Jio Digital Pack is available only for existing Jio prepaid users and will be activated on its own when subscribed to a current recharge plan, a report by MySmartPrice. The plan is applicable only when a prepaid user recharges with the Rs 399 data plan. The data pack offers a total of 126GB data benefits for a validity period of period of 84GB days.

The FUP limit has been set 1.5GB per day. Jio users availing the pack will get 3.5GB 4G data every day under the Jio Digital Pack. It also offers unlimited calling and 100 free test messages. The offer will continue till August 6 and will be rolled out for certain select subscribers only.
The Rs 399 plan from Airtel comes with 70 days of validity, 100 free SMSes, unlimited free voice calling and 1.5GB per day. While it is quite comparable to Jio's Rs 399 pack, the addition of its Digital Pack gives the telecom disruptor an edge.
The closest plan that Vodafone offers is its Rs 349 recharge pack. It offers 3GB 4G/3G data every day, which is only 500MB shy of Jio's Rs 399 plan after being bundled with the Jio Digital Pack, along with unlimited free voice calls. On the flipside, this Vodafone plan comes only with 28 days of validity, which is much less than what Jio or Airtel are offering.
As per sources, the subscribers get 2GB of additional 4G data per day with no extra cost.
Jio digital pack is similar to a top-up plan which is added to the already recharged data plan. Therefore, with unlimited voice calls, SMS and data offerings, users will get an additional 2GB daily data for the same amount. The validity of the offer is available in MyJio app.

It may be noted here that the offer is available for select Jio prepaid users. Though users thought that the validity will be lost on August 6, but now after the extension it expires on August 14 almost after a week.
However, there is no clarification on the prepaid plan which enables the digital pack, but a few users have reported that the freebie is on the Rs 399 Jio prepaid plan.
